The Ora Garden of Wellbeing is located at Taupo Museum. Originally created for the Chelsea Flower Show this gold medal winning garden was offered to the museum in 2007 so it could be seen in its homeland. The garden captures the essence of the central North Island with its unique bush garden and geothermal landscape.

Just 15km from Taupo, Tullamore is a large country garden with mature trees, shrubs and flowers that provide all year round interest. You can also view the rare breeds reared on site such as the miniature and standard Galloway cows.

Lava Glass Sculpture Garden

The latest attraction in Taupo is the spectacular new Lava Glass sculpture garden opened by John Key, then Prime Minister of New Zealand, in 2014.
South Domain

South Domain

South Domain is situated off the main street in Taupo. The garden is made up of native trees and stone sculptures. A rose garden and mixed border are also features enjoyed by many visitors.
Tauhara

Tauhara

Tauhara is located some 10k from Taupo town centre at an elevation of 560 metres. On a clear day there are views of Lake Taupo to the snow capped Volcanic Plateau beyond.
