The Earth Star is a voluntary self-assessment that recognises sustainable gardening practices, from soil health and water use to biodiversity and carbon impact.
How and why to apply
If you’re committed to gardening in a way that supports the environment, the Earth Star is your opportunity to showcase that. Simply complete the self-assessment form and return it to info@gardens.org.nz. If your garden meets the criteria, you’ll receive an Earth Star on your NZ Gardens Trust listing—recognising your efforts and helping visitors identify gardens that prioritise sustainability.
