Created from 15 acres (6 hectares) of bare paddock, Bev McConnell presents a garden that, 55 years on, is nearing maturity and recognised for both design and horticultural excellence. The wetland in the surrounding 14 hectares is now home to a diverse range of native and visiting bird life.

Omaio is a coastal property of 18 acres (7.28 hectares) on the Takatu peninsula, an hour's drive north of Auckland and five minutes from Matakana. The Maori name means "place of peace, quiet and tranquility".

Set in the grounds of Auckland’s oldest park, Auckland Domain, the Wintergardens provide visitors with both a historic and often noted romantic experience. In 1913 the Domain was the site of the Auckland Exhibition and the teahouse was built as an ideal home exhibition piece retained after the rest of the exhibition was dismantled. Enjoy the everlasting display of colour.

Cornwall Park is a landscaped park gifted by Sir John Logan Campbell and opened in 1903 for New Zealanders to explore and relax in. The park is renowned for its heritage, working farm and wide variety of mature trees. The park surrounds a volcanic cone, Maungakiekie - One Tree Hill. Many archaeological and geological features are still visible.

Totara Waters, set on the upper Waitemata Harbour, is an idyllic place for you to enjoy and be inspired. Peter and Jocelyn Coyle started developing this garden, about one hectare in extent and on an almost bare site, in 1999 when truckloads of lichen-covered rocks and boulders were brought in from a local quarry.

Highwic is one of New Zealand’s finest timber Gothic houses built in 1862 by Alfred Buckland, one of Auckland’s most substantial land owners. The gardens  separate the house from the busy commercial area nearby. Visitors can still enjoy croquet and a quiet stroll through the garden.

Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens offers a great day out for garden, sculpture and cafe enthusiasts. Located 45 minutes north-west of Auckland on a rural property with views over the Kaipara Harbour. A 1km trail takes the visitor through a variety of garden experiences and past approximately 60 sculptures by established and emerging NZ artists.
