Established from a bare paddock in 1996, this is a half an acre garden to nourish the body and mind.
Trees, shrubs and clipped forms - both native and exotic - give the garden a good sense of structure. Pathways guide and intersect the subtly separated garden rooms.
Bulbs in spring, followed by paeonies, roses, interesting perennials and hydrangeas provide interest from summer through autumn/winter, complement and soften the overall design.
The heartbeat of the garden is the kitchen garden with its vegetable beds, herbs and espaliered fruit trees.
Birds, bees and all manner of insects are active .... singing, humming and working their magic above and beneath the soil.
It truly is a haven for humans and wildlife alike, which we enjoy sharing with our visiting guests.
