Cornwall Park (Public)

Cornwall Park is home to beautiful areas for picnics and relaxation, grand specimen trees, stunning flower beds, grand avenues and sweeping vistas. The Park’s donor, Sir John Logan Campbell, is buried on the summit of a volcanic cone in the centre of the park. The Maori name for the hill is Maungakiekie – mountain of the kiekie (Freycinetia banksii) that grows as an epiphytic climber or vine. Enjoy rural tranquility in the heart of Auckland city with a working farm and heritage buildings that are open to view. Free public barbeques are available. The park offers a range of sports clubs and recreation facilities for the community or you can join many regular park users and walk the paths, drives and walking tracks of Cornwall Park enjoying getting off the ‘beaten track’.

Opening Hours and Tariffs

Cornwall Park is open daily 7am till dusk. Please check closing times on the Park gates (seasonal) or contact the Park Information Centre. Cornwall Park Information Centre and Lindo Ferguson Education Centre is open daily (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) 10am – 4pm
